Support

A person answers, inside a day. Not a form, not a bot, not a ticket number.

Write to somebody

hello@hautelumiere.life — anything at all: the app, a book that will not open, a place that did not keep.

warden@hautelumiere.life — conduct, a report, or to say a decision about you was wrong. A different person than the one who decided will read it.

rights@hautelumiere.life — if something here is yours and should not be. It comes down while we look.

The membership

$22.22 a month. Ninety days free, and the card is not charged in any of them.

Cancel from inside the app, or — if you joined on an Apple device — in Settings, your name, Subscriptions. We will never make you write to somebody to leave.

Cancel and you keep reading until the month you paid for ends. Nothing is cut off mid-sentence.

Your reading, and your five gigabytes

Everything you have marked, kept, written and stored can be taken out whole, in formats that open elsewhere, from Settings — or by asking here and we will do it for you.

Deleting the account deletes the reading, the room and the files, permanently, inside thirty days.

Things that are usually the answer

A book will not open past chapter one. Chapter one of every book is free to anybody; the rest is inside the membership. If you are a member and it still will not open, sign out and back in — the shelf is read fresh on every sign-in.

A place did not keep. Places are written when you leave a chapter. If the network was gone, it is on the device and goes up on the next look.

A narration will not scrub. Some networks strip range requests. Download it once from the chapter and it plays from the device.
