Parable: The River’s Game

Once, there was a river that flowed not by force of gravity alone, but by the whim of its own winding. It did not rush to the sea in a straight line; it danced around rocks, lingered in pools, and sometimes even doubled back on itself for no reason other than delight.

The fish in this river lived long lives, and their offspring remembered the bends and the pools as sacred places, not just stops along the way. They would swim through the water with a sense of playfulness—nibbling at algae here, chasing each other there—as if the river itself were a game board where every twist held a surprise.

One day, a young fish named Nibbles asked an old, wise trout, "Why do we play so much? What is the point of all this winding and laughing?"

The trout chuckled, sending ripples through the water. "My dear Nibbles," she said, "the river does not have a destination in mind when it bends. It is not trying to get somewhere faster or more efficiently. It is simply expressing itself fully at every moment. That is how life works—when you forget about the 'somewhere' and just move with joy, you become
