The Cascade Protocol

Pairing sensory integration with fascial release, for a longer break (20–25 minutes) or the start and end of the day.

Your fascia stores chronic tension and sends continuous low-grade threat signals to your brain. Releasing it amplifies and extends the regulatory effect of the sensory work — together they address your nervous system from multiple directions at once, creating integration that moves through every level of your system.

1

MELT Soft Hand or Foot Treatment · 5–7 minutes

Place a soft ball under the arch, ball, and heel of the foot in turn — or the palm in three positions — and allow gentle, sustained pressure for 30–60 seconds at each point. No rolling. After each foot, stand and notice the difference in contact with the floor.

2

The Full Sensory Sequence

Follow Protocol Sheet 1 in full: brushing, compressions, vestibular input.

3

Two Minutes of Stillness

Lie on your back, arms slightly away from the body, palms up. Simply allow. This integration time is not passive — the nervous system is actively consolidating what it has received. Interrupting it with stimulation diminishes the effect.

Signs the cascade is working

A sense of being more fully in your body. Reduced background emotional tension. Thoughts becoming less circular. Easier access to a felt sense of safety. Emotional material that has been stuck beginning to move — tears, sighs, trembling, or waves of warmth are the nervous system discharging held tension. Allow them.
