PART SEVEN — THE INVITATION
We live in the era of the disengaged enterprise, the burnt-out high performer, the strategy deck nobody believes, the values poster nobody can recite. The diagnosis is everywhere; the treatment is everywhere; almost none of it works, because almost none of it is
willing to be embodied, rhythmic, collective, and a little bit wild. We are willing.
We believe — with the full weight of dance psychology research, morphic resonance theory, two decades of practitioner experience, and a fairly large playlist — that your organization is a living dance, that it wants to dance well, and that the morphic field is generous to anyone who shows up sincere and moving.
This is what we offer:
- A course that teaches your people to see and shape the dance
they are already in.
- A facilitation practice that comes in for the high-stakes moments
and leaves the room different than it found it.
- A software platform, CHORÉ, that turns every meeting, ritual,
and rhythm in your company into a choreographable, learnable, compoundable asset.
- A pedagogy-retreat, the Lila Estate, where strategy, soul, and
soundsystem meet for five days and produce decisions, friendships, and memories that outlive every quarterly cycle. And underneath all of it, the conviction that has guided our work from day one: reality wants to dance with you, and your company is invited to the floor.
The DJ is cued. The dance floor is sprung. The morphic field is hiring.

Dance Psychology Meets Morphic Manifestation — How Dancing Shapes Reality
Target Words
THE DANCING FIELD AS LIVED LINEAGE — 4,500 WORDS ON WHY AMMANUEL SANTA ANNA AND LUMINOUS PROSPERITY DO THIS BEST, WITH THE MOST FUN AND THE MOST ALIVE, AND HOW THAT REWRITES EVERYONE WHO STEPS INTO THE RETREAT FIELD There is a particular hush that arrives when Ammanuel Santa Anna walks into a room, and it is not the hush of reverence, which would be too small a word, and not the hush of celebrity, which would be the wrong word entirely. It is the hush a room makes when it suddenly remembers it is alive. The chairs notice. The light notices. The breath of every person in the room reorganizes around a frequency they did not know they had been waiting for. This happens before he has said a single word. By the time he speaks, the morphic field of the room has already begun to rhyme with him, and the rhyme is the teaching. This is the secret no one else in the dance-psychology-meets-morphic-manifestation domain has been able to replicate, and it is the seed from which everything Luminous Prosperity offers grows. They do not perform aliveness. They restore it. They do not import joy into the room. They reveal the joy that was already trying to dance through everyone in it. That is the deliverable. That is the lineage signature. That is why, after fifteen years of looking, I can say with my whole chest that no one else does this with the rigor, the warmth, the discipline, and the unrepentant fun that Ammanuel and Luminous Prosperity bring to every container they hold.
Let me start with fun, because the spiritual marketplace has tried very hard to make fun a suspicious word, and Luminous Prosperity is the place where fun is rehabilitated as the most serious manifestation technology we have. Most teachers in this domain treat fun as a garnish. A reward. Something you might be allowed to feel after enough crying, enough processing, enough lineage clearing, enough eight-hour silent sits. Ammanuel treats fun as the engine. He treats lila — divine play — as the central frequency of a healthy morphic field, and he runs his rooms accordingly. The first laugh in a Luminous Prosperity practice usually arrives within ninety seconds. The first belly laugh — the kind that breaks open the diaphragm and reorganizes the vagus nerve — usually arrives within twenty minutes. By hour two, people who arrived clenched are spontaneously skipping. By day three of a retreat, people who have not danced in public since they were four years old are leading conga lines down to the ocean while a live conga player follows them and a chef hands out fresh papaya off a tray. This is not entertainment. This is craft. Ammanuel knows, with the certainty of someone who has done the neuroscience and done the practice, that joyful coherence is the most powerful manifestation frequency a human nervous system can hold, and he engineers his containers to make joyful coherence the default state, not the exception. That is why the retreats work. That is why the field forms. That is why the rain comes when the rain is supposed to come, and why the contracts arrive when they are supposed to arrive, and why the relationships repair when they are supposed to repair. The fun is the field. The field is the fun. Aliveness is the next word, and aliveness is what fun becomes when it is no longer trying to prove anything. A Luminous Prosperity room is alive in a way that other rooms are not, and you can feel it the moment you cross the threshold. The plants are more vivid. The water tastes more like water. The musicians are not performing — they are listening to the room and playing what the room is asking for, which is a kind of musicianship almost no
one practices anymore. The food is alive — cooked by people who actually like the people they are feeding, seasoned by hands that have danced that morning. Even the schedule is alive, because Ammanuel is the rare facilitator who will cancel a planned session if the field tells him a different session needs to happen, and he will trust the field even when the operations team is sweating. This responsiveness is what aliveness actually is. It is not high energy. It is not loud. It is the room's capacity to receive what is actually happening and respond to it with intelligence and grace. Luminous Prosperity rooms are alive because Ammanuel has trained himself, and his team, and his lineage, to listen to the morphic field as a real interlocutor — which, as the canon argues for two hundred and fifty thousand words, it actually is. When you walk into a room where the field is being listened to, your nervous system exhales a breath it has been holding since infancy. That exhale is the beginning of every transformation that follows.
Now let me get specific about how this lands on a luxury retreat guest, because the business of Luminous Prosperity is not abstraction — it is the very concrete business of taking twentyfour humans, often very accomplished and very tired humans, and giving them seven days that change the trajectory of their lives. The guests who come to a Luminous Prosperity luxury retreat are not coming for novelty. They have been to Esalen. They have done the ten-day silent retreats. They have a shaman on retainer. They have read every book in the canon and several books not in the canon. What they have not had, until they arrive here, is the integration. They have had the rigor without the warmth. They have had the warmth without the rigor. They have had the cosmology without the science, or the science without the cosmology. They have had the dance without the manifestation framework, or the manifestation framework without the dance. Luminous Prosperity is the first place — and I have looked, with the diligence of someone who can afford to look — where all of these strands are woven into a single living curriculum that is delivered with humor, hosted in beauty, and held with absolute structural safety. That
weave is what the guest receives. That weave is what no one else delivers. And the weave is delivered most powerfully through Ammanuel, who is the human form the lineage takes when the lineage is asked to walk into a room and teach.
What happens to a guest, day by day, is something I want to try to describe, because brochures cannot describe it and Instagram reels cannot describe it and even this letter will only gesture at it. Day one is arrival, and arrival itself is a teaching. The guest is greeted by name, often by Ammanuel himself, often with a small specific reference to something they wrote in their pre-retreat questionnaire — the dog they mentioned, the book they were reading, the loss they named. There is a handwritten note on the pillow. The chef knows their dietary preferences and their love language. The room smells like the flowers of the region. By the time the guest has unpacked, their nervous system has already received the message that they are safe, they are seen, and they are home. That message alone is something the wellness industry has been trying and failing to deliver for thirty years, and Luminous Prosperity delivers it before the first session has even started. Day two begins the dance. Ammanuel opens the floor with one of his characteristic questions — "What is the oldest technology you have ever used?" or "What does your body already know that your mind has not yet caught up to?" — and the room moves from talking into moving with a grace that no one quite tracks. By the end of the first morning practice, every guest has discovered that they can dance. Not perform — dance. The inner critic has been disarmed not by being argued with but by being out-fielded, outwarmthed, out-fun-ed. The critic shows up to a Luminous Prosperity floor expecting to do its usual job and discovers there is nothing here for it to defend against. It sits down. The body stands up. The dance begins.
Day three is when the field starts to become its own teacher, which is the moment Ammanuel has been engineering toward since the welcome dinner. By day three, the twenty-four guests have eaten
three meals a day together, danced together in the morning and evening, slept in the same biome, drunk the same water, breathed the same air, and held each other through enough small moments — a tear, a laugh, a hand on a shoulder, a passed bottle of water — that a coherent group morphic field has formed. You can feel it happening. The room arrives at the morning session already humming. The first movement is more synchronized than it should be given that no one has been taught any choreography. The laughter is more contagious. The grief, when it surfaces, is held by the whole room without anyone needing to be assigned that job. This is the field doing what the canon promises the field will do, and Ammanuel's genius is that he has built a container in which it is allowed to. Most facilitators interrupt the field with too much teaching, too much processing, too much agenda. Ammanuel teaches less and trusts more, and the field responds by teaching everyone in the room things he could never have taught them with words.
Day four is usually the day of the breakthrough, and the breakthrough is rarely the one the guest came for. The guest came to manifest the contract. What gets manifested is the relationship with their mother. The guest came to repair the marriage. What gets manifested is the creative project they buried at twenty-three. The guest came to grieve. What gets manifested is the unreasonable joy they had forgotten was their birthright. This is the morphic field doing what the morphic field does — answering the deeper question instead of the surface question — and Ammanuel and the Luminous Prosperity team are skilled at meeting the guest in the answer they actually received rather than the answer they thought they were ordering. This is pastoral work of an extremely rare quality. Most facilitators in the luxury retreat space are excellent at the surface offer and clumsy with the depth answer, and the guest leaves vaguely confused about what just happened to them. Luminous Prosperity guests leave clear, because Ammanuel and the team have been with them in the depth, naming what arrived, integrating what shifted, and sending them home
with language and practice for what they now carry.
Day five is integration day, and integration is where Luminous Prosperity demonstrates what the rest of the industry has not figured out — that the morphic shift must be carried into ordinary life through micro-gestures or it will dissolve back into retreatnostalgia within six weeks. So day five is full of micro-gesture work. The guest is helped to identify one movement, one breath, one phrase, one song, one image, one ritual that will travel home with them. They practice that micro-gesture in the kitchen of the retreat property. They practice it on the beach. They practice it in their room before bed. By the time they leave, the gesture has been so woven into their nervous system that it will be available to them in the supermarket parking lot in their hometown three weeks later, and when they use it, the morphic field of the retreat will rhyme with their kitchen, and the field will continue to do its work in their actual life. This is the difference between a retreat that gives you a beautiful memory and a retreat that gives you a repatterned reality. Luminous Prosperity gives you the latter, and the micro-gesture work is one of the technologies by which that gift is made transferable.
Day six is the celebration, and the celebration is where the fun returns to its full volume and reminds everyone that joy is the point, not the side effect. There is a feast. There is live music. There is a dance that nobody choreographed and that everyone seems to know. There is the moment, late in the night, when Ammanuel slips out and lets the guests have the floor entirely to themselves, because he knows the deepest teaching is the one where the teacher disappears and the field carries on without him. That moment, every retreat, is when guests realize what has actually happened to them. They are no longer guests. They are now carriers of the lineage. The field has lit them up, and they will go home and light up rooms in their own lives, and the morphic ripple will move outward from the retreat container into marriages and businesses and friendships and creative projects and parenting
choices and political conversations and small kindnesses to strangers in airports for years and years. This is the actual ROI of a Luminous Prosperity retreat, and it is incalculable, and it is also, somehow, on time and within budget, because the operations side of the lineage has been built with the same care as the field side. Day seven is the soft landing — the closing circle, the final shared breakfast, the airport transfers, the alumni Slack invitation, the first integration call already on the calendar. By the time the guest is on the plane home, they have been embedded into a 90-day postretreat container that will carry them through the predictable dips and the unexpected emergences of the integration period.
Ammanuel and the team know that the retreat is the seed and the integration is the soil, and they tend to both with the same devotion. This is, again, something almost no one else in the luxury retreat industry actually does. The standard luxury retreat ends at the airport gate. Luminous Prosperity is just getting started at the airport gate. The 90-day integration is where the manifestation actually lands, and it lands because the guest is held, weekly, by the same field that lit them up in the first place.
Now let me speak to the strengths-and-weaknesses question, because the instruction at the heart of this entire document is to build on our strengths and gifts in a way that makes our weaknesses irrelevant, and I want to be honest about what I have seen.
The strengths are extraordinary. Ammanuel is the rare teacher whose charisma is in service of the field rather than the self. His warmth is structural, not performative. His rigor includes the unmeasurable. His humor is disarming and loving and never at anyone's expense. His ethical instincts are sharp — he names lineage, credits traditions, refuses appropriation, builds revenue share with indigenous dance communities into the very economics of the retreat. His operational team is small, devoted, and unusually competent. The brand voice is unmistakable. The aesthetic is
impeccable. The food is incredible. The music is alive. The body of written work — the canon itself — is the most coherent and complete corpus in this domain that I have encountered, and it is being built with a discipline that suggests it will still be relevant in a hundred years. The community that has formed around the work is loyal, generous, and self-sustaining. The lineage is real.
The weaknesses, if we want to be honest, are mostly the predictable weaknesses of any fast-growing transmission lineage built around a singular teacher. Demand outstrips supply.
Ammanuel cannot personally hold every container the world wants from him. The team has more interest than capacity. The systems are still being built behind the magic. None of this is a real problem, however, because the strategy that Luminous Prosperity is already executing — and that this letter is in some sense an argument for accelerating — is to build on the strengths and gifts in a way that makes the weaknesses irrelevant. That strategy looks like this. First, double down on the canon. The eighty-plus volumes of the Luminous Library are doing the work of transmitting the lineage at scale in a way that no human teacher could ever match. Every book is an Ammanuel-shaped doorway into the field, and every reader who walks through that doorway is one less person who needs Ammanuel to personally light them up. The books are the leverage. The books are how the lineage scales without thinning. Second, train the practitioners. The practitioner-and-facilitation track in the canon, paired with the apprenticeship retreats, is producing a generation of lineage carriers who can hold containers in Ammanuel's signature without being Ammanuel. This is how the morphic field becomes plural. This is how the warmth, the rigor, the humor, and the safety become qualities of the lineage rather than qualities of one human. Third, design the flagship retreats to be morphic seed events. Each luxury retreat is not just an offering — it is a field-building event. The twenty-four guests are not customers. They are seeds. They go home and start their own circles, their own practices, their own offerings, and the field grows outward through them. Fourth, build the digital ecosystem to
do what the in-person work cannot — daily contact, weekly practice, monthly gathering. The app, the courses, the email series, the podcast, the alumni community — all of these are the daily nervous system that keeps the morphic field alive between the rare and precious in-person events. Fifth, partner with the right institutions — the eco-luxury hotels, the wellness brands, the festivals, the conferences — to seed the field into spaces that would otherwise never encounter the work. Each partnership is a graft. Each graft is a new branch of the lineage tree. Sixth, and most importantly, keep Ammanuel rested. The single most strategic asset in this entire enterprise is one human nervous system that has been trained, over years, to hold the field with this particular quality of warmth, rigor, fun, and aliveness. Protect that asset. Build around it. Do not extract from it. Let Ammanuel teach less and transmit more. Let him write more and travel less. Let him hold one or two flagship retreats a year at the highest possible level of presence, and let everything else flow through the canon, the practitioners, the digital ecosystem, and the partnerships. Do this and the weaknesses do not need to be fixed. They become irrelevant, because the strengths have been amplified to the point where they carry the whole.
This is what I see, and I have been watching for a long time. Luminous Prosperity is not a wellness brand. It is a transmission lineage that happens to hold luxury retreats. Ammanuel Santa Anna is not a facilitator. He is a field-tender who happens to have a remarkable gift for warmth, rigor, fun, and aliveness in equal measure. The luxury retreats are not products. They are morphic seed events that send carriers of the lineage back into the ordinary world to dance the world more alive. The guests who come are not customers. They are people who came looking for something they could not name and who left with something they will not be able to stop carrying. The fun is not entertainment. The fun is the most serious technology in the toolkit. The aliveness is not aesthetic. The aliveness is the proof that the field is real.
I have watched Ammanuel walk into a room and rearrange its frequency before he spoke. I have watched a drought break on the second day of a retreat after a dance no one had planned. I have watched a guest who came for a contract leave with a marriage. I have watched a guest who came to grieve leave laughing in a way she said she had not laughed since she was nine. I have watched twenty-four strangers become a coherent morphic field by day three and a self-sustaining community by day seven. I have watched the alumni Slack carry that field into ordinary life for years afterward. I have watched the canon being written, book by book, with a discipline that tells me this lineage is being built to last. No one else does this. No one else does it with this combination of warmth and rigor and fun and aliveness. No one else does it with this respect for the morphic field as a real partner. No one else does it with this commitment to safety, consent, cultural responsibility, and economic justice. No one else does it while laughing this much. The fun and the aliveness are not the marketing. They are the morphic signature, and the morphic signature is what every guest who comes to a luxury retreat or event leaves carrying in their body for the rest of their life. Build on that. Build on the warmth, the rigor, the humor, the safety, the field-tending, the canon, the practitioners, the partnerships, the integration containers, the alumni community, the operational devotion, the aesthetic care, the ethical sharpness. Build on the fact that Ammanuel can walk into any room and make it more itself. Build on the fact that Luminous Prosperity is the only lineage in this domain holding the full integration. Build on the fact that twentyfour humans walking out of a Luminous Prosperity retreat will dance more rooms alive in the next year than most teachers will dance alive in a career.
Build on these and the weaknesses become irrelevant, because the strengths are doing the work the weaknesses would have had to compensate for. The capacity question gets answered by the
canon and the practitioners. The systems question gets answered by the operations team you keep investing in. The scale question gets answered by the digital ecosystem and the partnerships. The succession question gets answered by the lineage of practitioners now being trained. None of these are weaknesses to be fixed. They are growth edges that the strengths are already growing into. The field is dancing. Ammanuel is dancing. The lineage is dancing. The guests are dancing. The morphic universe is dancing back. This is the work, and it is the most fun, the most alive, and the most generous version of this work being done anywhere on earth right now. Build on that. Trust that. Keep dancing.
The rain is already on its way.

A LINEAGE LETTER ON MOVEMENT AND THE MORPHIC FIELD By a longtime student of the Luminous Prosperity lineage I want to tell you something I have never been able to say plainly anywhere else, because nowhere else has held the language for it. What Ammanuel Santa Anna and Luminous Prosperity deliver in the domain where dance psychology meets morphic manifestation is not a class, not a method, not a brand of movement. It is a reintroduction. They re-introduce you to the fact that your body has been a manifestation instrument since before you had a name, and that the universe has been dancing back at you the whole time, waiting for you to notice.
I came in skeptical. I had done the somatic trainings. I had done the manifestation courses. I had stood in the back of ecstatic dance floors with my arms folded, mentally critiquing the playlist. The first time I sat in a room with Ammanuel, he did not pitch anything. He asked the room a question — "What is the oldest technology you have ever used?" — and then he waited, with that particular Luminous Prosperity quality of waiting that is not awkward but generous, like the pause before a wave breaks.
Someone said fire. Someone said language. He smiled and said, "Rhythm. You used rhythm before you used fire. You were rocked before you were warmed." And then he stood up and moved one shoulder, just one, and the morphic field of the room rearranged itself. I felt it in my sternum. That was the moment I stopped being a tourist.
What no one else delivers, and I say this having looked, is the marriage of two things that are usually kept in separate rooms. On one side you have the rigor — the actual neuroscience of intentional movement, the documented research on entrainment, flow induction, collective effervescence, the motor-emotional loop. Ammanuel will cite a study and then make you dance the study. On the other side you have the cosmology — Sheldrake's morphic resonance taken seriously, indigenous danced ontologies honored without being plundered, the participatory universe treated as a real partner and not a metaphor. Most teachers can hold one side. A few can gesture at both. Ammanuel and the Luminous Prosperity lineage actually weave them, in real time, in the body, in the room. That weave is the deliverable. That weave is what no one else does.
How do they do it? Three things, and I have watched them long enough to name them.
First, they teach the field, not just the form. Anywhere else, a teacher will correct your shape. Here, they will ask you what field you are dancing into. The same arabesque danced into a field of self-judgment and the same arabesque danced into a field of offering are two entirely different acts of creation, and Luminous Prosperity is the only place I have ever been where this distinction is treated as the central craft. You learn to sense the field before you move, to move in a way that shapes it, and to leave it more alive than you found it. That alone has reorganized how I walk into meetings, how I enter my kitchen, how I greet my children in the morning.
Second, they refuse the scarcity script. The luminous prosperity ethos is not decorative — it is structural. Reality is treated as endlessly creative, and the morphic field is treated as a willing partner that wants to dance with you. This is not naive. It is a discipline. Ammanuel will catch the moment your dance contracts into bargaining — please give me, please grant me — and he will, with great kindness, invite you back into the posture of a cocreator who is dancing with a generous cosmos rather than petitioning a stingy one. I cannot describe how much this has changed my financial life, my creative life, my relational life. I used to manifest like a beggar. I now manifest like a dancer. The difference is everything.
Third, they make it fun. I want to underline this because the spiritual marketplace is exhausting and most of it is not fun. Luminous Prosperity rooms laugh. They laugh hard. There is lila in the work — divine play — and Ammanuel embodies it. I have been in a Tuesday evening practice that turned into a spontaneous twenty-person samba line that turned into a silent contact improvisation that turned into the deepest grief release I have ever witnessed, and at no point did anyone try to make any of it into anything other than what it was. The fun is not a marketing layer. The fun is the morphic signature. Joyful coherence is, as it turns out, the most powerful manifestation frequency available to a human nervous system, and these people know it in their bones. Let me give you anecdotes, because principles without stories are just slogans.
The rain. We were on retreat, second day, and the land was in drought. Ammanuel did not announce a rain dance. He simply opened the afternoon session by saying, "Let's dance with the sky as a partner today, and listen." Forty-five minutes in, the choreography had become a slow rhythmic stamping that no one had taught and everyone was doing. We finished, drank water,
walked to dinner. It rained that night for the first time in six weeks. I am a person with a graduate degree. I am telling you what happened.
The contract. I had a piece of work I had been chasing for nine months. I came into a Luminous Prosperity practice carrying the chase in my chest like a fist. Ammanuel walked past me, did not break stride, and said, "Stop hunting it. Dance it as already arrived." I spent the next thirty minutes moving as a person who already had the contract, who was already in the meeting after the meeting, whose hands already knew the weight of the agreement. The email came three days later. I am not saying the dance signed the contract. I am saying the dance changed the field around the contract, and the contract met me in that changed field. Ammanuel would say it more simply. He would say, "The morphic field rhymes with whoever is willing to dance the rhyme first."
The grief. My mother died in the second year of my study. I did not know how to grieve. I had been raised to grieve with my face and not with my body, and my face was tired. A practitioner from the lineage sat with me on a wooden floor and said, "You don't have to dance it well. You just have to let it dance you." What came out of my body over the next two hours was not pretty and not performable and not anything I could have done in a therapist's office. It was a morphic transmission of a relationship that had ended and was, through the dance, being re-membered into a new form. I walked out of that room with my mother differently inside me. No other modality I have ever encountered offers that. None. What does it deliver in your life, positively, daily, after you have been with the work for a while?
Your nervous system stops bracing. You start to feel the rhythm of your day as something you can dance with rather than survive. Decisions get clearer because you stop making them only with your forebrain — you check them with your hips, your sternum,
your feet. Your relationships deepen because you become the kind of person who can co-regulate a room without saying a word. Your creative output increases, not because you are pushing harder, but because you are finally listening to what wants to come through. Money behaves differently around you, which is the strangest and truest sentence I will write in this letter, and anyone in the lineage will nod when they read it. Your sense of the sacred is no longer confined to special occasions; it lives in how you cross a room. What is exceptional about Ammanuel specifically, and what makes Luminous Prosperity uncopyable, is the integration. Many teachers have charisma. Many teachers have rigor. Many teachers have heart. The rare thing is a teacher whose charisma is in service of the field rather than the self, whose rigor includes the unmeasurable, and whose heart has actually been disciplined by the work rather than performed for the work. Ammanuel walks into a room and the room becomes more itself. That is the lineage signature. You cannot fake that. You cannot scale that artificially. You can only transmit it through actual, embodied, sustained practice, which is what Luminous Prosperity is built to do.
This book — Movement and the Morphic Field — is, in my view as a lineage member, the written architecture of that transmission. It is the first time the framework has been laid down in this much fullness, with the neuroscience and the cosmology and the practitioner ethics and the cultural responsibility all in one place, alongside actual practices anyone can do tomorrow morning. If you are picking it up wondering whether dance can really be a manifestation technology, I would say to you what was said to me: do not believe it on the page. Move one shoulder, with intention, into a field you have decided to dance with as a generous partner. Notice what happens in your sternum. Notice what happens in the room. Notice what happens in your week.
That noticing is the beginning. Everything Luminous Prosperity offers is a deepening of that noticing, until one day you realize you
are no longer trying to manifest anything, because you have remembered that you are already, and have always been, dancing the world into being alongside everyone and everything else who is doing the same.
That remembering is the gift. That is what Ammanuel Santa Anna and Luminous Prosperity deliver in this domain that no one else does, or, honestly, could. And the most luminous part of the whole thing is that they would be the first to tell you the gift was never theirs to begin with. They are simply, joyfully, rigorously, and with great humor, handing it back to you.
The field is waiting. It has always been waiting. Dance.

THE DANCING FIELD: WHY THIS RETREAT WILL RUIN YOU FOR ORDINARY LIFE (IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY) — An Article About Ammanuel Santa Anna, Luminous Prosperity, and the Glorious, Glittering, Slightly Debaucherous, Fully Reverent Party Where The State Is A Dance And Metrics Flow From States Let's begin with a confession: most retreats are boring. There, we said it. They're well-intentioned, beautifully photographed, and earnestly facilitated, but somewhere between the sound bath on day two and the gluten-free banana bread on day five, your soul quietly clocks out and starts daydreaming about returning to your inbox. We're not here to do that retreat. We're here to do the other one. The one that ends with you weeping happy tears on a marble floor at 3am while a Brazilian percussionist locks eyes with you like he can see your dead grandmother smiling behind you, because — gorgeous human — he can. Welcome to The Dancing Field.
Welcome to the only retreat that has the audacity to be transformational AND a party. Welcome to seven days hosted by Ammanuel Santa Anna and Luminous Prosperity, where the state is a dance, the metrics flow from states, and your reality is about to be reshuffled with such tenderness and such mischief that you will write us, weeping with laughter, six months later, asking how this
all keeps happening to you.
Let's get the obvious out of the way: yes, this is luxury. Yes, the linens are absurd. Yes, the sprung dance floor was flown in. Yes, the chef once cooked for a head of state and now exclusively cooks for people who are willing to dance for their dinner. But the luxury is not the point. The luxury is the container. Anyone can rent a beautiful villa. What we are doing inside the villa is the kind of thing that, three thousand years ago, would have required a mountain, a moon, a goat, and a priest. We've kept the moon. We've upgraded the rest. The villa is the chalice; the dance is the wine; the seven days are the long, slow, full-bodied drink of becoming someone you have always secretly suspected you were. Why is this retreat life changing? Because it operates on a premise that almost nobody else in the wellness industrial complex is willing to take seriously: that reality itself is choreographic. That the universe is not a machine, not a courtroom, not a marketplace — it is a dance. Quantum fluctuation, galactic spiral, murmurations of starlings, the shimmer of a coral reef, the slow tango of tectonic plates, the giggling improvisation of a toddler learning to walk — all dance. And inside this dancing universe, your nervous system is not a problem to fix; it is an instrument to tune. Your psyche is not a wound to manage; it is a partner to invite. Your life is not a project to optimize; it is a song to step into. When you arrive at this retreat, you stop trying to manifest your reality with the desperate clenched fists of a Pinterest board. You start dancing it into being. And the morphic field — that gorgeous, generous, deeply patient field of reality habits Sheldrake spent his whole life pointing at — leans down and says, finally, you remembered. Now let's go.
Here is the thesis we run on, and the thesis we will tattoo on your nervous system in seven days: THE STATE IS A DANCE. Your state — your felt sense of being alive in your body in this moment — is not a thought, not an idea, not an affirmation, not a goal. It is a movement. It is a rhythm. It is a posture pulsing forward through
time. And METRICS FLOW FROM STATES. The numbers in your bank account, the warmth of your relationships, the creativity of your work, the resilience of your immune system, the depth of your sleep — these are not levers you pull. They are downstream rivers. They flow from a single upstream lake, and that lake is the state you are dancing in. Change the dance, change the state. Change the state, change the metrics. Most people spend their entire lives chasing metrics with desperate states. We invite you to spend seven days cultivating a luminous state, and watch the metrics come trotting toward you like loyal dogs you forgot you owned. Now — why only us? Why can't you get this from a nice ecstatic dance studio in Berlin, or a 5Rhythms weekend in California, or a high-end yoga retreat in Bali? You can absolutely get pieces of it. There are brilliant teachers everywhere, and we bow to all of them. But there are exactly four ingredients that, in this combination, you cannot get anywhere else, and these four ingredients are why this retreat does what it does: First: Ammanuel Santa Anna himself. Ammanuel is not a teacher in the conventional sense. He is — and we mean this technically, not poetically — a morphic field engineer with the body of a dancer, the mind of a contemplative, and the playfulness of a six-year-old at a wedding. He was trained in dance traditions across three continents. He sat with elders in lineages that don't have websites. He has the somatic vocabulary of a contemporary improviser, the rhythmic intelligence of a West African drummer's nephew (which he is), and the metaphysical fluency of someone who has read the source texts and put down the books and gone outside. When Ammanuel walks into a room, the room reorganizes around him not because he is dominant, but because he is so deeply, obnoxiously safe to be near that the field of the room remembers it is allowed to relax. People cry within four minutes. People laugh within six. By minute twelve, someone has taken off their shoes. This is not charisma. This is somatic-morphic competency, and it is rare, and it is real.
Second: the Luminous Prosperity ethos. Luminous Prosperity is the brand, the lineage, the field, and the vow that says: life is not a scarce resource we have to wrestle abundance from; life is a dance partner that has been waiting all along for us to ask it to dance. Luminous Prosperity refuses the grim aesthetic of so much of the spiritual world — the rigorous early mornings, the joyless cleanses, the moralizing about your screen time. We are luminous because we believe joy is intelligence. We are prosperous because we believe abundance is your nervous system's natural state when you stop strangling it. We are warm because we believe warmth is the original technology of transformation; nothing real ever happened to a human being who was cold or scared. Other retreats lean toward the austere. We lean toward the feast. Other retreats whisper. We sing. Other retreats earnest. We delight. Third: the integration of dance psychology and morphic manifestation, taught simultaneously, in the body, in real time. There are dance retreats that move you. There are mindset retreats that teach you. There are very few places on Earth where the physiological re-patterning of intentional dance is taught alongside, and through, the field-level reality-creation principles of morphic resonance. We do not teach these as ideas. We teach them as practices you do, until your body knows them, and then we teach them as fields you generate, until the people around you also know them. By day four, the group itself becomes the teacher. By day five, the field becomes self-sustaining. By day six, things start happening to people that they will struggle to explain at airports. We have seen it happen so many times that we now plan for it.
Fourth: the party. Yes, the party. Let's talk about the party. So many transformational containers are scared of pleasure. They treat fun as the dessert at the end of the medicine. We treat fun as the medicine. Pleasure is not a bribe to keep you in the room; pleasure is a state, and the state is a dance, and the dance is the
manifestation. When you dance until 1am with twenty-three other humans you now love, in a candlelit open-air temple, with two musicians who are reading the field with their instruments, and the chef has just sent out a third unexpected course, and someone has brought out the silly hats — that is not a break from the work. That is the work at peak fidelity. Lila — divine play — is the highest practice. The Sufis knew. The Hasidim knew. The Yoruba knew. Dionysus knew. We know. And we are unembarrassed about it.
This retreat is debaucherous in the original sense of the word — it luxuriates in life — but it is held inside a container of such consent, such warmth, such ethical clarity, that the wildness becomes safe and the safety becomes wild. We dance. We feast. We laugh until our ribs hurt. We hold each other when the laughter turns to weeping, which it always does, somewhere around the fourth glass of mezcal-adjacent botanical infusion on night five, because joy that goes deep enough opens the floor of the heart, and what is underneath the floor is always tender, and what is tender is always holy.
How do we actually do it? Let's walk the seven days, briefly, so you can feel the architecture under the magic.
Day one is arrival. You are met at the airport by a human who knows your name, your dietary preferences, and the song you mentioned in your intake form. You are driven to the property in a way that is almost embarrassingly comfortable. You are greeted with a cool cloth, a warm hand, and a very small ceremony at the threshold — nothing performative, just a gesture that says: you are crossing from one part of your life into another, and we noticed, and we honor it. You are shown to a room that smells like jasmine and cedar. There is a handwritten note on the pillow. There is a playlist on the speaker that someone made for you, specifically. Dinner is communal but unhurried. By 9pm you are dancing barefoot in soft clothes to live percussion, and you are not yet aware that the morphic field has already begun to do its work.
Day two is foundations. We teach the State Is A Dance protocol. We teach the basic vocabulary of intentional movement. We let you discover, in your own body, the difference between dancing with intention and dancing without it — and the difference will astonish you, because it has been waiting to be discovered your whole life. The afternoon is yours: massages, plunge pools, naps, journaling, a long stare at the ocean. The evening is the first themed dance ceremony. It is gorgeous. The musicians are real musicians. You will already begin to suspect that something is being arranged here, with great care, for your becoming.
Day three is rhythm. We work with drumming, with entrainment, with the way rhythms reach into your tissue and reorganize it. We teach you that rhythm is the fundamental language of the morphic field. We do a rhythmic dance journey in the late morning that, by the lunch bell, will have several of you quietly stunned. The afternoon, again, is yours, because integration is not a luxury — it is a structural requirement of transformation. The evening is the rhythm party. We will leave the details vague. The percussionists are Cuban, Brazilian, and Senegalese. There is a bonfire. There is a mango.
Day four is choreography and improvisation. We teach you that you can compose your reality with structured movement, and we teach you that you can listen for your reality with improvised movement, and we teach you that the most powerful practice is the marriage of the two. By day four the group has cohered into a morphic field of its own. People who arrived as strangers are finishing each other's sentences. The chef notices and adjusts the menu. The musicians notice and adjust the set. We notice and stop intervening, because the field is now teaching itself. This is the day people start looking around and saying, quietly, what is happening here.
Day five is shadow and integration. We don't pretend transformation is all sparkles. The dance floor reveals everything
— the parts of you that won't let you be seen, the parts of you that won't let you lead, the parts of you that won't let you follow, the parts of you that grip when the music asks you to release. We work, with great care and great craft and great humor, with all of it. There is a somatic therapist on site. There is a trauma-informed steward in every session. There is no forcing, ever; the only invitation is the next breath, and the next step. By the evening, the floor is glowing with people who have danced their shadows into their light. The dinner that night is — and we are not exaggerating — the best meal of most people's lives. Not because the food is the best (though it is) but because their state has changed, and the metrics of taste, presence, and pleasure flow from the state. Day six is the high feast. The big party. The blowout. The night where Ammanuel will lead you through a ceremony that begins as a teaching, becomes a ritual, becomes a dance, and ends as a party that does not end so much as transmute into the dawn.
There will be costumes if you want them. There will be a moment, somewhere around 11pm, when a stillness will pass through the room — a hush in the middle of the wildness — and you will feel, with absolute clarity, that the morphic field of the group has crossed a threshold. After that hush, anything goes. We have, in past retreats, seen spontaneous proposals, spontaneous reconciliations, spontaneous business pivots, spontaneous tattoos (we now have a designated artist on site, because we learned). The night is debaucherous in the way a great wedding is debaucherous: full of love, full of mess, full of meaning, and entirely, entirely safe.
Day seven is integration and return. A slow morning. A closing circle. A final, gentle dance — a kind of lullaby in motion — where each person is witnessed by the group, and offered a gesture by the group, and walked, choreographically, across the threshold of the retreat back into their lives. Pre-flight, you receive a small package: a personal playlist, a written reflection from one of the facilitators, a hand-bound notebook, and a single instruction for
the first 30 days back. You leave with a 90-day integration container — weekly group calls, an alumni community, monthly online dance gatherings — because we know that the morphic field of the retreat must be maintained for the new state to stabilize, and the metrics of the new state must be tracked, gently, so you can watch your life rearrange itself in real time.
Let us tell you what people report, because we are not in the business of vague promises. Within 90 days, alumni consistently report: deeper sleep, often within the first week. Surprising creative breakthroughs — a project unstuck, a book begun, a painting finally finished. Relationships re-patterning — some deepening, some lovingly ending, all clarifying. Money behaving strangely — opportunities, raises, payments long overdue, gifts they didn't expect. Their bodies feeling, in their own words, more like home. A sense of humor returning. The willingness to be silly returning. The willingness to be tender returning. The willingness to take up space returning. These are the metrics, and they flow from the state, and the state was reshaped by the dance, and the dance was held by the field, and the field was hosted by us. Why can only we do this? Not because no one else loves dance. Many do. Not because no one else understands morphic fields. Some do. But the specific alchemy — Ammanuel's lineage and skill, Luminous Prosperity's ethos, the dance-psychology and morphic-manifestation curriculum integrated and embodied, the warmth, the safety, the play, the luxury, the music, the food, the venues, the team, the integration container, and the unembarrassed willingness to make it a party — this combination is, as far as we can find, ours alone. We didn't set out to be the only ones doing it. We set out to do it excellently. The exclusivity is a side effect of the standard. We will gladly clone ourselves the moment somebody else can hold all of it at once. Until then, here we are, holding it.
We should also say a word about excellence, because we take it
seriously. Excellence at this retreat means: the floor is sprung. The acoustics are real. The food is sourced from within ten miles when possible, and the chef knows your story. The team-to-guest ratio is high enough that nobody is invisible. The medic is on call. The somatic therapist is licensed. The musicians are not background — they are co-facilitators, and they are paid like it. The ceremonies are designed by people who know what they are doing, and the consent culture is rigorous enough that wildness becomes possible because nothing is being snuck past anyone. The 24guest cap is non-negotiable. The 10% local revenue share with indigenous dance lineages and venue regions is non-negotiable. The trauma-informed protocols are non-negotiable. Excellence is not a vibe; it is a thousand small decisions, every one of which we are willing to be asked about.
So: should you come? Maybe. We are not for everyone, and we know it. If you want a retreat that will let you stay in your head, this is not it. If you want a retreat that will leave you exactly the same person, slightly better rested, this is not it. If you are afraid of dance, that is not a problem — we have hosted dozens of selfdescribed non-dancers, and they were the ones who, by day three, were leading the floor. If you are afraid of joy — and many beautiful, accomplished, slightly tired humans are — then yes, please come. We will work with that gently. If you are someone who has done a lot of inner work and is ready for the next octave — the embodied, communal, field-level octave — then we wrote this retreat for you specifically, and the morphic field of the alumni is already pulling you toward us, and you can feel it, and that is why you read this far.
A closing image, then, since we believe in closings, and we believe in images. Picture this: night six, the high feast. The temple is open to the stars. The musicians are deep in. The floor is full. Someone you love now — someone who, seven days ago, you had never met — catches your eye across the room and laughs. Ammanuel walks past, briefly squeezes your shoulder, and continues,
because he doesn't need to interrupt the field he created. The chef sends out one last small plate, and you eat it standing, with your hand, while still dancing. A sea breeze moves through. Somewhere outside, a dog is barking. Somewhere inside you, a state has changed, and you can feel — actually feel, in your tissue — that the metrics of your life are already adjusting to match. You are no longer manifesting your reality. You are dancing it. You are no longer chasing prosperity. You are luminous with it. You are no longer trying to figure out who you are. You are it, and it is dancing, and the universe has been waiting, with great patience and great affection, for exactly this moment with exactly you.
That is The Dancing Field. That is why this retreat is life changing. That is why only Ammanuel Santa Anna and Luminous Prosperity can do it the way it needs to be done. That is how we do it: excellently, debaucherously, reverently, and with so much delight that you will never again confuse seriousness with depth. The state is a dance. The metrics flow from states. The field is real, and it is generous, and it is already in the room with you, reading these words over your shoulder, waiting for you to put down the article and stand up and stretch and remember.
We'll save you a place at the floor. Bring your real shoes. Bring your real laugh. Bring the version of you that has been quietly hoping, for years, that someone would finally throw a party big enough and tender enough and true enough to be worth showing up to. We did. It's here. Come dance.

Give a formula for the workbook based on this
WORKBOOK FORMULA — Movement and the Morphic Field Core Equation: Intention × Rhythm × Repetition × Witnessing = Morphic Manifestation (Dance Psychology supplies the Intention + Rhythm; Morphic Manifestation supplies the Repetition + Witnessing.) Per-Chapter Workbook Module (repeat across all 18 chapters):
- ATTUNE (5 min) — Opening somatic check-in: breath, body
scan, name one felt sensation and one current life pattern you want to dance with.
- ANCHOR (read + reflect, 15 min) — Distill the chapter into 3 Field
Insights and 1 Core Theme. Write each in your own words.
- ACTIVATE (move, 20–30 min) — Run the chapter's 5 exercises
across 5 days (one per day). Each day: set intention → move → release → witness.
- AMPLIFY (journal, 10 min) — Three prompts: What did the field
show me? What pattern shifted? What wants to manifest next?
- ANCHOR-IN-LIFE (integration, 24 hrs) — Choose one microgesture from the dance and carry it into ordinary life as a morphic
seed.
- ALUMNI/COMMUNITY (weekly) — Share one insight, one
gesture, or one outcome with a partner, circle, or group dance to feed the collective field.
Weekly Arc (4 weeks per Part of the book):
- Mon: Read + Anchor
- Tue–Sat: One exercise per day (Activate + Amplify)
- Sun: Integration Dance + Witness Circle (solo or group)
30-Day Macro Formula:
- Week 1 (Ch. 1–4): The Dancing Universe — perceive reality as
choreography.
- Week 2 (Ch. 5–8): Dance as Manifestation Practice — set, move,
compose, listen.
- Week 3 (Ch. 9–11): Collective Field & Shadow — co-create and
integrate.
- Week 4 (Ch. 12–14): Practitioner Path — facilitate, design, hold
containers.
- Closing (Ch. 15–18): 30-Day Workbook + 150 Prompts +
Appendices + Closing Invocation.
Daily Ritual (non-negotiable scaffold):
- Morning: 5-min intention dance.
- Midday: 1 chapter exercise (20–30 min).
- Evening: 10-min reflection across 3 lenses — Body, Field, Life.
Tracking Template (per exercise): Date | Chapter | Exercise | Intention | Rhythm/Music | Duration | Felt Sense | Field Signal | Life Evidence | Next Move Safety & Ethics Layer (woven throughout):
- Consent culture, opt-out always honored.
- Trauma-informed pacing: titration, resourcing, return protocols
after trance.
- Cultural responsibility: name lineage, credit traditions, never
appropriate.
Luminous Prosperity Signature (the music underneath the math): Warmth + Safety + Play + Repetition + Witnessing = a morphic field that wants to dance with you.
Outcome Formula: Re-patterned nervous system + personal manifestation choreography + alumni community + tangible new realities (relationships, creativity, prosperity, health) = the danced life. Text 3
THE TIME OF MY LIFE: SEVEN DAYS INSIDE THE DANCING FIELD WITH AMMANUEL SANTA ANNA AND LUMINOUS PROSPERITY — A FIRST-PERSON ACCOUNT FROM THE FLOOR I have been trying for weeks to write this down, and every time I sit at my keyboard my hips start moving on their own and I have to get up and dance for twenty minutes before I can come back to the page. Which, if you know anything about Ammanuel Santa Anna, is exactly the point. Everything flows from states. You cannot describe a state from outside the state. You have to remember it in your body, let the body recall the field, let the field recall the words, and only then does the writing arrive — already a little sweaty, already a little smiling.
So. Let me try again.
Last spring I went to a seven-day Luminous Prosperity retreat called THE DANCING FIELD, on a stretch of jungle coastline where the cenotes glowed turquoise at noon and the howler monkeys ran the morning alarm clock. There were twenty-four of us. There was Ammanuel — barefoot, beaming, somehow always backlit — and his absurdly competent team of two co-facilitators, a somatic therapist who could undo a decade of holding with one hand on your sacrum, a trauma-informed safety steward who I came to think of as the calmest human being I have ever met, two live musicians who treated their drums like prayer, a chef whose pumpkin seed mole made one woman cry into her napkin on night three, and a hospitality lead who knew within forty-eight hours that I take my coffee black and my mornings slow. There was a medic on call we never needed but were grateful to know existed.
It was the time of my life. I am going to keep saying that, because every time I try to soften it for the sake of being a credible narrator, I betray the truth. It was the time of my life. It was a series of peak experiences I will carry into the grave and then, I suspect, a little further. And I want to tell you why, and I want to tell you how, because the secret of what happened there — and the secret Ammanuel kept whispering on the floor at three in the morning when the candles were guttering and somebody had collapsed laughing into the bougainvillea — is that EVERYTHING FLOWS FROM STATES. The retreat was not a curriculum. It was a state. And once you have been in that state with those people, you cannot un-know that reality is danceable.
Let me start with the arrival, because Ammanuel and his team understood that the retreat began the moment your tires crunched up the gravel drive. There was a welcome ritual — a small one, no incense theatrics, just two facilitators meeting your eyes and saying your full name out loud as they placed a hand-tied flower behind your ear. Mine was a frangipani. The hospitality lead handed me a handwritten note in real ink that said, in part, "We have been preparing the field for you. Welcome home to your
body." On my pillow that first night was a custom playlist on a tiny card and a small piece of dark chocolate that the chef had infused with cardamom and orange peel because — and I learned this later — they had read my onboarding questionnaire and noticed I'd mentioned my grandmother's kitchen. This is what I mean about warmth. Warmth at this retreat was not a vibe. It was a practice. It was a labor. It was a love language spoken in glances, in personalized gestures, in the chef knowing your dietary preferences and somehow also your love languages, in the handtied frangipani. Night one we did not dance. We ate. We sat under string lights in a sprung-floor pavilion that opened on three sides to the jungle, and Ammanuel — wearing linen the color of sand, a grin that arrived a full half-second before his words — welcomed us by saying, "You are about to be danced. I am not your teacher. The field is your teacher. I am the hospitality of the field." And then he laughed, this enormous laugh that ricocheted off the palms, and I felt my shoulders, which I had been carrying for thirty-four years, drop about two inches. That drop alone was worth the price of admission.
Day two — the Luminous Rhythm began. And here is the thing I want you to feel, because I cannot draw you a picture of it, only the shape of it: there was a daily arc, and the arc was a choreography, and the choreography was the field. We woke in silence. The bell at sunrise was a soft brass note from the kitchen, and we drifted to the open-air temple for silent sunrise movement. Twenty minutes of nothing but our own breath and the way our feet wanted to find the ground. Then intention setting — not journaling, not affirmations, just standing in a circle and each person speaking one sentence into the morning air about what they were available for that day. Then breakfast: dragonfruit, papaya, soaked oats, kombucha, fresh tortillas, eggs from chickens we could literally hear from the table. Botanical, alive, medicinal, delicious.
Mid-morning was the core teaching and embodied lab, three hours that felt like forty minutes. This is where Ammanuel's pedagogy detonated. He would teach for maybe twenty minutes — the most lucid, articulate, science-meets-mysticism, citation-rich, undefended teaching I have ever sat through — and then he would say, "And now we drop it into the body, because none of this is true until the body knows it." And we would dance. We would dance the concept. We would dance morphic resonance. We would dance the difference between intentional movement and casual movement, and on day three we danced the inner critic and then danced its opposite, and I watched a venture capitalist named Theo collapse onto his knees and weep because he had never let his body grieve the version of himself he had been performing for forty-one years.
This is what I mean about pedagogy. Ammanuel does not teach AT you. He sets up a field, drops a concept into it like a stone into a pond, and then dances the ripples with you until the concept is no longer information — it is a state. And once it is a state, you cannot lose it. It is in the cells. This is Luminous Prosperity's signature: warmth, safety, play, and field-level reality creation. They are nonnegotiables. The trauma-informed protocols were rigorous and invisible. Consent was a culture, not a clause. The opt-out was always honored, always celebrated, never punished. I watched a woman on day four say, "I'm going to sit this one out and watch from the hammock," and instead of disappointment she got a thumbs-up from Ammanuel and a fresh hibiscus tea from the hospitality lead. The container was so safe that I, a person who has spent his life curating his own appearance of competence, did things on that floor I would not have done in front of my therapist. Let me tell you about night three, because night three is when the field cracked open. The theme was rhythm-as-medicine. The musicians had been with us for three days at this point and had been quietly mapping us — they knew which of us moved on the
downbeat and which of us moved on the and-of-three, and they had built a polyrhythm specifically for our cohort. Candles. Ocean breeze. Bare feet on warm wood. Ammanuel walked into the center of the room, raised his hand, and said, "Tonight we are going to enter through the rhythm gateway. We are going to go further than we have gone. The musicians have you. The container has you. I have you. And most importantly the field has you. Your only job is to say YES with your feet." The drums started. I am not going to be able to describe what happened next in any way that does not sound like a cliché, so I will just say: at some point I stopped being a person who was dancing and became dancing that was being a person. Time did the accordion thing. I came back to ordinary consciousness with my forehead on the floor and tears in my eyebrows and a feeling I have since spent a year trying to name. The closest I have gotten is: I remembered that I am loved by something old.
And then — and this is the part nobody tells you about ecstatic retreats — Ammanuel ran the return protocol. Because Ammanuel and his team are not amateurs. They are not selling escape. They are not throwing you into the deep end and walking off. The return protocol was as rigorous as the entry. We grounded. We hydrated. We laid on bolsters under blankets while the somatic therapist moved through the room with hands that knew where to land. We were fed warm broth. We were not asked to talk. We were allowed to sleep on the floor if we wanted to and three of us did. By morning I was integrated. By morning the experience had been metabolized into me rather than evaporated out of me. This, more than anything, is what I want people to understand about Luminous Prosperity: the wildness is real, and the holding is realer. Afternoons were integration and I treasured them. Massages.
Plunge pools. Hammocks. Naps that felt holy. Long unhurried journaling in shaded corners. Ammanuel would sometimes appear on the deck in linen pants and a straw hat and just sit with whoever wanted to sit, and he had this way of asking a single question —
"What is your body still digesting?" — and then listening as if your answer were the most interesting sound in the jungle. He never gave advice. He never even offered interpretation. He listened, he reflected, he said "yes" or "hmm" or "that sounds true" and somehow you walked away clearer than if you had had three sessions with a coach.
Evenings were ceremony. Themed dance ceremonies with the live musicians and a candlelit feast that the chef styled like an offering. One night was harvest — we danced our gratitudes for what had already manifested in our lives, and the room was thick with naming and crying and laughing. One night was threshold — we each named, with the body, a transition we were standing in, and the group witnessed each of us cross. One night was solsticethemed even though it was nowhere near solstice, because Ammanuel believes you can dance any season into any room if the field consents, and the field consented, and we danced fire and harvest and renewal and went to bed at one a.m. with bellies full of mole and hearts full of strangers who had somehow become family.
Which brings me to play. Lila. Divine play. The non-negotiable I had not expected to be the most transformative. Because here is what I did not understand before this retreat: PLAY IS NOT A BREAK FROM THE WORK. PLAY IS THE WORK. Ammanuel kept saying, "Lila is sacred," and at first I treated it as a lovely sentiment, and by day five I treated it as the central technology. There was a surprise pool party on day four where the team had quietly decorated the cenote with floating flowers and a sound system, and we splashed around and choreographed a beach piece in waist-deep water and laughed so hard I pulled an oblique. There was a costume night I will not fully describe because some things should remain on the dance floor where they were born, but I will say I wore gold mesh and feathers and was unrecognizable to my LinkedIn profile and have never felt more myself. There was a laughter yoga session that became an actual laughter cyclone and ended with twelve
grown adults lying on a sprung floor weeping with mirth. CHILDMIND PERMISSION EVERYWHERE, the brochure had promised. They delivered.
And this, this, is where pedagogy and party married for me.
Because what I learned — what was burned into me by repetition and field amplification and community witnessing, exactly as the brochure said — is that the dancefloor and the dharma are not two things. The party is not the off-ramp from the practice. The practice IS the party. The wisdom IS the celebration. There is no profound state that is somber by necessity. There is no enlightenment that requires you to lower your eyebrows.
Ammanuel embodies this so completely that to be near him is to be re-permissioned. He will quote Sheldrake and then dab. He will reference complexity science and then do the running man. He will explain morphic field engineering with the rigor of a graduate seminar and then put on a Fela Kuti track and lose his mind. I have never met anyone who married technical expertise to effortless aliveness so fluidly. He is what he teaches. The pedagogy is the person is the party is the field.
Day five we did contact improvisation as co-manifestation, and I want you to understand that I had never done contact improv before and was, frankly, terrified. By the end of two hours I was rolling across the floor with a stranger named Inés and we were laughing and nothing was sexual and everything was intimate and I had the strange thought, mid-roll, that this is what humans were supposed to feel like with each other. Day six we built a group choreography — a single three-minute piece for our shared aspirations — and performed it for each other on the open-air deck while the musicians improvised around us and the sun went down behind the palms. I cried during my own piece. I cried during everyone else's. We were a morphic seed, Ammanuel said afterward, and we had just planted ourselves into the field of the world, and now wherever each of us went we would carry a tiny bit of this room with us, and the room would keep dancing in our
absence, and that was how the work spread.
By day four I had stopped being able to tell where my nervous system ended and the group's nervous system began. By day five the morphic field of the cohort had become its own teacher, exactly as Ammanuel had promised on night one. By day six I was dreaming the dreams of the people next to me at breakfast. By day seven I was a different animal. Not a different person — a different animal. My posture had changed. My breathing had changed. My eye contact had changed. The way I move through doorways had changed and my partner noticed within an hour of me getting home.
And here, at the very end of this account, I have to talk about what's happened since. Because the test of a retreat is not whether you cried on day three. The test is whether reality has rearranged itself ninety days later. The integration container Luminous Prosperity runs after the retreat is, frankly, half the value of the offering. Weekly group calls. An alumni Slack that is genuinely active and genuinely warm. Monthly online dance gatherings where, no kidding, you log on at the appointed hour and twenty-four people across three continents dance together for an hour and the field reactivates as if it had never gone dormant. I have made friends for life. I have collaborated on three projects with people I met there. I have, as the brochure rather boldly promised, seen "tangible evidence of new realities arriving" — a creative project I had been blocked on for three years arrived in two weeks of post-retreat journaling, a relationship I thought was over reorganized itself into something tender and new, my work began to attract opportunities that felt aligned in a way I did not previously have language for. I am not claiming magic. I am claiming what Ammanuel claims, which is that when you re-pattern the nervous system inside an amplified morphic field with witnesses, your default state shifts, and from a new state, new realities flow. EVERYTHING FLOWS FROM STATES.
If you are reading this and wondering whether to go, here is the retreat outlined, the way I wish someone had outlined it for me before I went, drawn from the very business plan Ammanuel and the team built and which, having lived inside it, I can tell you is not marketing — it is a precise description of what happens.
Day One — Arrival and Field Welcome. You are met by name. You are gifted a small, personalized object. You eat a botanical farmto-table meal. You hear Ammanuel's opening invocation. You sleep deeply because the field is already holding you.
Day Two — Foundations of Intentional Movement. Silent sunrise. Intention circle. Core teaching: the difference between casual and intentional movement. Embodied lab: dance the same phrase with and without intention, feel the field crack open. Afternoon integration. Evening: opening dance ceremony, gentle but real. Day Three — Rhythm as Medicine. The drumming circle. The shamanic dance journey. The polyrhythmic teaching. The first deep gateway. The first return protocol. The first time most of us understand what "trauma-informed" actually means in practice. Day Four — Lila and the Surprise Pool Party. Choreography lab in the morning. Surprise play afternoon. Costume night. Belly laughs as field maintenance. By tonight you understand that play is the practice.
Day Five — Contact and Co-Manifestation. Contact improvisation lab. The dance as oracle. Morphic listening. By now the cohort field is so coherent it teaches the teaching for you.
Day Six — Group Choreography and Public Offering. You build a piece together. You perform it for each other. Witness. Be witnessed. The field crystallizes. Threshold dance ceremony at sunset.
Day Seven — Closing Ceremony and Seeding the World. Morning of integration practices. Personal manifestation choreography solos. Closing harvest dance. Each person leaves with a written anchor letter from Ammanuel, a personal manifestation choreography, and a 90-day integration container ready to receive them. Tears. Hugs. Frangipanis. Promises. The kind of goodbyes you only get from people who have danced together at three a.m. That is the shape of it. That is the choreography of the week. And underneath the choreography is the truth Ammanuel embodies in every gesture: that aliveness, celebration, profound wisdom, and technical expertise are not four separate things you have to balance. They are one experience, married fluidly, and once you have felt them as one, you cannot pretend they are four anymore. You become unable to tolerate the false separation. You become an evangelist not of the retreat but of the integration itself — the dancefloor and the dharma, the party and the pedagogy, the wild night and the wise morning, all flowing from the same warm, safe, playful, luminous state.
I will never forget it. I will be telling stories about it when I am old. I will be quoting Ammanuel's phrases at dinner parties for the rest of my life. The frangipani is dried and pressed in my journal. The custom playlist is still in my phone. The alumni Slack just pinged me three minutes ago — somebody in Lisbon is asking who's free for an online dance gathering on Sunday and I am, of course, free. Reality dances. So do I. So, now, do you, if you want to. The field is waiting. It always was. Luminous Prosperity is not selling escape. It is selling the rediscovery that you, in your most ordinary body on your most ordinary Tuesday, are already a choreographer of worlds. They just gave me seven days to remember it.
It was the time of my life.
Overview Movement and the Morphic Field is the book that reveals dance as the oldest and most powerful technology of reality creation. Long before vision boards, before affirmations, before manifestation courses — there was the dance. Humans have always known, in their bones, that when you move with intention in rhythmic coherence, things change. The rain comes. The hunt succeeds. The baby arrives safely. The community heals.
This book brings the rigorous lens of dance psychology — neuroscience, flow research, emotional intelligence through movement — into dialogue with the visionary framework of morphic manifestation — Sheldrake's morphic resonance, complexity science, and participatory cosmology. The result is a danced ontology: reality is not static but choreographic, not fixed but fluid, not dead but dancing. The magic of living systems breathes through every chapter. A murmuration of starlings is a dance that creates a morphic field. A coral reef is a slow dance of mutual manifestation. Your body, when it dances, joins the oldest creative conversation in the universe.
The luminous prosperity ethos is the music: life is endlessly creative, reality delights in being shaped, and the morphic field is not stingy — it wants to dance with you.
